Count me in the adding GNOME camp. I can attest to several other Fedora engineers that are also interested in this.
Oh, we are actually counting! Then I am for GNOME.I certainly feel for those who don't want the GNOME dependencies (I have been there), but I think that some of the rough edges of Liferea could be solved by using GNOME. I was quite excited when the idea was proposed.
I use Liferea under Gnome and apart from some unusual places for menu items I have never felt it doesn't 'fit in' with Gnome. If it makes development easier for the devs, I'm +1 on using Gnome libraries for sure.
+1 for GNOME, of course :-)
I'm using liferea under gnome and would appreciate a switch too.
Currently I am in the process of adding lifearea to OpenEmbedded to enable PDA users to benefit from the liferea capabilities.Depending it on GNOME might make things harder and give more dependencies on devices with limited capabilities. One should be aware that RSS reading is a core application for mobile devices.
